Our goal was to build on existing excitement for romance authors and hero titles in the BookTok community, by creating a huge moment for creators and viewers with the latest creator house.
Using learnings from the first BookTok creator house as well as events & campaigns for competitor titles, we harnessed FOMO and peer to peer testimonials to encourage sentiment, awareness and sales of S&S romance titles.

The details
For this campaign we planned a romance retreat weekend for 7 creators. The creators took part in a romance scavenger hunt around Brighton which ended at the Rook Retreat Airbnb where the influencers stayed for the weekend. The influencers each created 6 videos about their weekend and the key romance titles.
Our social content creator also made three Instagram reels that highlighted the two main titles – Wildfire by Elena Armas and The Long Game by Hannah Grace.
Campaign success:
- Over 170k total video views
- Above average engagement rate across all videos
- Higher views than other Simon and Schuster reels content
- Over 900 saves on influencer content – we love to see stats like this encouraging that people will come back to the videos to purchase the books!
