News
We are launching our first official newsletter this month! We’re excited to see it land in our clients inboxes very soon.
We’re recruiting! We’re looking for a Campaign Assistant to join the team and support us on all our wonderful campaigns. If you know of anyone looking for their first role and would like to experience all the pillars of content marketing, please reach out.
We will share more information in our campaign update next, but we’re super excited to say we’re working with some incredible new clients this summer. A toy brand, an attraction for pre-teens and an education app for pre-schoolers. Expanding our remit and using our audience specialism to engage a wider variety of brands was a real focus for us this year and we’re looking forward to sharing more in the next few months.
Campaigns
This summer we launched our second global Influencer Marketing campaign for King’s InterHigh, engaging students around the world. This year we really pushed the boundaries with creative concepts and saw brilliant engagement within our audience groups. We look forward to sharing this case study with you in full soon.
New client wins in the toy, attraction and entertainment space has been really exciting! Spanning UK & US markets, we’re creating strategies for paid and organic activity to engage parents of pre-schoolers, middle grade and pre-teens. As soon as our campaigns go live in August, we will share our highlights.
Our publishing campaigns have really turned the page. In the last 4 weeks alone we’ve been working with a variety of publishers and imprints on out of home plans for back to school, influencer campaigns, author strategy building and content creation. July is typically a busy month for publishing and if you would like to look at a last minute activation, get in touch!
Insight: Engaging Students
This month we turn our attention to marketing to students. The summer season is a pivotal moment for brands across all sectors to engage teens and students.
The education space is gearing up to a new academic year and lifestyle brands are capitalising on this audience groups free time and want for shared experiences.
We know this audience is over saturated with ads and content, but that doesn’t stop them from seeking out content and brands that inspire them. As marketeers we should see this positively. We know students (specifically Gen-Z aged 12-25) use their social platforms for everything. Shopping, searching for holidays, seeking news, education, talking with friends and creating content to name a few.
Across our campaigns we are seeing a huge drive in engagements from this audience group asking more questions, and seeking more granular detail. We are building sequential campaigns as we recognise that path to conversion is longer, information building for this audience is essential – or giving them access to find the answers they seek.
James, our CEO recently spoke to BBC London about the effect TikTok is having (as we write this on the 2nd July) on the general election. He noted a surge in register to vote numbers with a push from TikTok at the end of June. We are seeing a high frequency of discussion from teens on this platform about taking the time to vote. They are information seeking and this is showing great intent.
As we talk about the role of social and engaging students, it’s important to note the platform developments we’re seeing.
TikTok have released support with a ‘back to school’ campaign strategy digging into their data and are continuing to build on their e-commerce functionality. Positioning themselves as more than just a social platform and adding value to brands and the consumer experience.
James this month also contributed to a chapter within ‘Dear Social Media Manager’, compiled by Xandrina Allday. If you would like to speak to us about a challenge you face with engaging your audience groups, we’d be happy to share some top line thoughts or campaign ideas. See you next month!
