Institute of Swimming approached us to help them talk to 16-18 year olds about their SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant course. Positioned as the perfect student job thanks to a higher wage than retail/hospitality and more flexibility, it was our role to engage youth audiences across social platforms.

Institute of Swimming approached us to help them talk to 16-18 year olds about their SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant course. 

We worked with TikTok creators who are popular amongst the 16-20 age group, ensuring that they aligned with the client’s values of positivity, aspiration and motivation. 

They created vlog-style videos as these are a cornerstone within the target age group’s consumption of social media. These videos showed the course being completed every step of the way, from the initial online course and webinars, through to the pool days. As this campaign meant filming in public with young children, we ensured there were no safeguarding issues and that all consent was given or respected.

The details

To ensure we achieved maximum awareness, we obtained usage rights from the creators allowing us to run SparkAds for six weeks. The campaign resulted in 1,273,000 views, exceeding our benchmarks by 281%, and 55,716 engagements, exceeding our benchmarks by 457%.

Our success also allowed us to build our client relationship further as we are now running the campaign again with different creators in 2024, as well as running a further two campaigns for the client.
